1.4  Subscribing to a Membership Plan

Membership is offered as an annual recurring subscription, processed through Wix Payments. By completing your subscription purchase, you:

  • Confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions;

  • Confirm that you are aged 18 or over, or are a parent or legal guardian acting on behalf of a member aged under 18;

  • Authorise us to charge your chosen payment method the applicable annual fee at the start of each membership year; and

  • Confirm that the details you have provided are accurate and complete.

1.5  Age Verification — Youth Memberships

The Youth Member tier is available to individuals aged 17 or under at the time of subscription. The membership must be purchased by a parent or legal guardian who is aged 18 or over. The parent or guardian is the contracting party and accepts these terms on behalf of the young member.

We may ask for proof of age if we have reason to believe a membership has been taken out incorrectly. We reserve the right to cancel a Youth Membership and issue a pro-rata refund if we determine that the member did not meet the age requirement at the time of sign-up.

1.6  Family Memberships

A Family Membership covers up to two adults and up to three children under the age of 18, all residing at the same household address. The member who purchases the Family Membership (the lead member) is the contracting party and accepts these terms on behalf of all named family members.

Benefits under the Family Membership are provided to individual family members as appropriate to their age (adult or youth benefits). Welcome packs will be dispatched for each named family member registered at the time of sign-up.

The Family Membership may not be shared with individuals outside the same household.

1.7  Annual Billing and Payment

Your membership fee is charged annually at the start of each membership year. Your membership year begins on the date your initial payment is processed.

Recurring payments are processed automatically by Wix Payments on or around the anniversary of your original subscription date. You will receive advance notice of your upcoming renewal.

If a renewal payment fails, we will notify you by email and provide a short period to update your payment details. If payment cannot be collected within that period, your membership and associated benefits will lapse until payment is made.

All prices are inclusive of any applicable taxes.

1.8  Welcome Packs and Physical Benefits

Welcome packs are dispatched to the address provided at the time of sign-up. Please allow up to 30 days from the date of your successful subscription payment for delivery of your welcome pack.

We are not responsible for non-delivery caused by incorrect address details provided at sign-up. If you believe your welcome pack has been lost in the post, please contact us and we will investigate.

Welcome packs are despatched once per membership year and will not be re-issued on annual renewal unless the contents of the pack change materially from year to year.

1.9  Member Responsibilities

As a member of Scotland Baseball, you agree to:

  • Conduct yourself in accordance with our Code of Conduct at all Scotland Baseball events and activities;

  • Treat fellow members, volunteers, coaches, and staff with respect at all times;

  • Not misuse, share, or transfer your membership card or member login credentials;

  • Notify us promptly if your contact details change; and

  • Ensure that any minor members covered by your subscription attend events with appropriate adult supervision unless otherwise agreed.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate a membership without refund in the event of a serious or persistent breach of our Code of Conduct or these Terms and Conditions.

1.10  Cancellation and Refunds

Please refer to our Cancellation and Refund Policy for full details of your cancellation rights, including your statutory 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

1.11  Changes to Membership Plans and Benefits

We reserve the right to amend membership fees, benefits, or these Terms and Conditions. We will give you at least 30 days' written notice (by email) of any material changes before they take effect. If you do not wish to continue your membership on the revised terms, you may cancel before the changes take effect and receive a pro-rata refund of any unexpired membership fees paid.

Minor changes that do not materially affect your membership experience may be made without prior notice.

1.12  Limitation of Liability

We take reasonable care to ensure that our events and activities are conducted safely and in accordance with applicable guidance. However, participation in physical sports activities carries inherent risk. We are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your participation in Scotland Baseball events or activities, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.

Our total liability to you under these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for your current membership year.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other matter which cannot be limited or excluded by law.

1.13  Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the law of Scotland. Any dispute arising from your membership that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
