This policy explains your rights to cancel your Scotland Baseball membership and the circumstances in which a refund may be issued.

1.1 Your Statutory Right to Cancel — 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your membership subscription within 14 days of your purchase without giving any reason. This is known as the cooling-off period.

The cooling-off period begins on the day your subscription payment is confirmed.

Important: If you request that your membership and its benefits begin immediately (during the cooling-off period), you acknowledge that you will be liable to pay for the period of membership received up to the point of cancellation. For example, if you cancel on day 7 of a 14-day cooling-off period after having already accessed member benefits, a proportionate deduction will be made from your refund.

1.2 Physical Goods — Welcome Packs

Your membership includes a physical welcome pack (calendar, stickers, and embroidered patch). Once your welcome pack has been despatched, you will need to return it in its original condition before a full refund can be issued if you cancel within the cooling-off period.

If your welcome pack has not yet been despatched at the time of cancellation, a full refund will be issued without the need to return any goods.

Return postage costs for welcome packs are the responsibility of the member unless the goods are faulty or not as described.

1.3 How to Cancel Within the Cooling-Off Period

To cancel your membership within the 14-day cooling-off period, please contact us clearly stating your intention to cancel, your name, and your membership tier:

We will acknowledge your cancellation request by email. Where a refund is due, it will be processed within 14 days of your cancellation request being received (or within 14 days of receipt of any returned goods, whichever is later). Refunds will be made to the original payment method.

1.4 Cancellation After the Cooling-Off Period

After the 14-day cooling-off period has expired, you may cancel your membership at any time. To do so:

Cancellation after the cooling-off period means your membership will not renew at the end of the current membership year. You will retain access to your member benefits for the remainder of the year for which you have paid.

We do not issue refunds for unused portions of the current membership year for cancellations made after the 14-day cooling-off period, except in the following circumstances:

We have made a material change to membership benefits and you have notified us within 30 days of being informed of the change that you wish to cancel as a result; or
We have failed to provide a significant portion of the benefits described for your membership tier through no fault of your own.

In either of the above circumstances, we will issue a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of your membership year, calculated from the date of your cancellation request.

3.5 Annual Renewal Cancellation

If you do not wish to renew your membership for the next membership year, you must cancel your subscription before the renewal date. If a renewal payment has already been processed, you have 14 days from the renewal date to contact us for a refund, in accordance with the cooling-off period described in Section 3.1.

3.6 Membership Termination by Us

We reserve the right to terminate a membership without refund in the event of a serious or persistent breach of our Code of Conduct or these Terms and Conditions. In less serious cases, we may issue a warning before termination.

If we terminate a membership for reasons other than a breach of conduct (for example, if we are unable to continue providing the programme), we will issue a pro-rata refund of any unexpired fees paid.
